The Stanford Inn is the perfect to unwind. The people and the atmosphere are down to earth, respectful of the environment and a pleasure to talk with. This is the perfect place to relax, explore nature, bike, canoe, swim and practice yoga if you like.
Stanford Inn is beautiful inside and out. So much thoughtfulness goes into every aspect of the Inn. I especially appreciate the Inns dedication to ethics, sustainability, and hospitality… not to mention how absolutely gorgeous the property is.
Could not have dreamt of a better place to stay for our minimoon. Absolutely stunning property with one of the best breakfasts (included) that we've ever had. The free bikes was a huge perk as we used them to get around town and took them out along the river for a memorable afternoon.
Getting married at Stanford Inn & Resort on the Mendocino Coast
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
