Surfside is a beautiful little spot. It was very quiet, plenty of parking in front of the units. And even though you are right next-door to other people, you still definitely feel like you have your own space. I really enjoyed the fitness center, pool, sauna, and hot tub with a view while I was there.
I would give 6 stars if it was possible. This place is a bit of paradise on earth. Not only the views are amazing, but the interior design and set up of the apartment is flawless. We decided to spend our anniversary here and we couldn't chose a better place.
What a spectacular place! My husband and I came for a spontaneous getaway for our anniversary and Surfside did not disappoint! Michelle assisted us with our reservation and she was just delightful! She gave us many suggestions on things to do and even printed maps for us.
Beautiful views of lake Superior. Nice facilities including a spa. Reception facility was nice but no air conditioning so open windows early!
Getting married at Surfside On Lake Superior
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
