From the reviews
The Foggy Pearl is such a gem that truly gives you the Downeast Maine experience. The property itself is very versatile. I was there with a group of women for a long weekend and the multi purpose space was truly a highlight and able to be used for several activities (yoga, sound bath, private oyster tasting).
Staying and creating at The Foggy Pearl this past weekend was such a special experience from start to finish. We stayed at the Pound House during our collaboration weekend and immediately felt right at home. The house is beautifully maintained, peaceful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable for groups.
Our mid-winter stay truly tested the versatility of the space. With a full schedule of on-site gatherings, off-site excursions, and overnight accommodations during sub-freezing temperatures, snow, and wind, The Foggy Pearl exceeded expectations.
I had the opportunity to visit this venue for a weekend and it was truly magical. Set on the coast of Maine with stunning views of Mount Desert Island, it felt like stepping into another world.
Getting married at The Foggy Pearl
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
