An Unforgettable, Peaceful Reset at The Lake House - My wife and I recently attended the Spring Equinox sound bath experience at The Lake House on Canandaigua, and it was truly exceptional.
We stayed at The Lake House for the first time in July. We needed some R&R after a stressful first half of the year (lost two parents and moved to a new home). This was the perfect antidote. The hotel is a breath of fresh air. Spacious, airy, uncluttered, clean, bright, and right on Lake Canandaigua.
The Lake House provided a perfect girlfriend’s get away! We enjoyed 2 nights and all aspects of the property. Staff was fantastic from the greeters at the door to those working in the spa. We enjoyed meeting other guest throughout the property and at the classes.
The Lakehouse is such a special spot! But of all of the wonderful amenities our favorites are the classes held in the yoga studio (sound bath, meditation, stretch, yoga!) Truly a relaxing, educational and transformative experience each and every time.
Getting married at The Lake House on Canandaigua
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
