Myself and my husband just had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Penthouse at Hyde Park on June 15, 2024. It was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I am a visionary and I had my idea of the magical day I wanted, and let me tell you, this location and all associated staff MADE IT HAPPEN!
Shortly after getting engaged, I came across this venue and was in awe of how it perfectly captured exactly what I envisioned for a wedding day venue. The space is simultaneously a blank canvas but also decorated in an equally subtle and notable elegance.
The hidden gem of Chicago!!! Working with this venue is always a pleasure. The team at The Penthouse Hyde Park is there to assist you whenever you need (with even the smallest of details) to make your wedding day just like you dreamed. The word "elegant" will be in all your guests' minds they enter the ballroom space.
The Penthouse hosted our wedding (1.11.26) & it was a beautiful location, just right for us! If you are looking for a classic and romantic vibe for your wedding or ay event, with a beautiful view and a balcony terrace as a bonus, then I recommend the Penthouse.
Getting married at The Penthouse Hyde Park
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
