From the reviews
I love this Inn! My brother got married there in 2021, my whole wedding party booked out the Inn in 2022, and I did a Mommy Daughter weekend with my little girl this year.
I had such a wonderful stay at Roanoke Island Inn. Honestly, one of the most peaceful and charming place I’ve visited. The location is amazing, right in downtown Manteo and just a short walk to everything: shops, restaurants, and the waterfront.
My husband and I grew up in Manteo. As longtime locals we have not stayed at the Inn, however, our family reached out to Lee last minute to ask about using the Roanoke Island Inn as the backdrop for some professional family photos. He was prompt in getting back with us and very kind.
Absolutely perfect. The host was amazing. He was so attentive in making sure that we had a wonderful experience. I just can't even tell you how much that made a difference. This place is a mixture of a historical climate with absolutely 100% modern-day pampering.
Getting married at The Roanoke Island Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
