There are not enough words to describe how perfect The Waters was for our wedding day. The lake views, stunning interior, and timeless elegance created the atmosphere we had always envisioned.
The Waters was the only wedding venue that my husband and I toured because we simply felt at home the moment we walked the grounds. Being right on the lake was our ideal venue, plus the option to have the ceremony either indoors or outdoors based on the weather came in handy on our big day!
We had our wedding in February of 2022. It was amazing. First thing I loved was the availability of the whole building for my rental. There were no extra fees tacked on for rooms, furniture, etc. Second was the level of skill from the staff. Weddings are a bulk of their business and it shows.
I recently just got married at the Waters and it was the most beautiful day. The venue was gorgeous and fit our whole nautical wedding theme. The staff at The Waters was excellent and very fun to work with.
Getting married at The Waters
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
