I love this restaurant. When you come early you can get a fabulous view of sunset and have a tasty dinner. This restaurant is one of the best in the Venice/Englewood area. Nice selection of small plates and entres.entries. And they have gallato for desert.
This review is for The Waves Beach Bar. We have not yet tried the formal upstairs dining area. The Beach Bar is the perfect place for a leisurely lunch. The salads and small plates are perfect for a light lunch on a hot day. There is plenty of shade with the covered outdoor bar area and table umbrellas.
First time here. I had the Braised Short Rib. Not that bad but was salty. The atmosphere in the upper dining area was nice and the view of the Gulf was fantastic. A bit noisy but it was a Saturday night in season so I expected it.
My family & I came here for dinner and we absolutely loved everything about our dining experience! We ordered the sea bass, surf and turf, crab cake and the kids’ butter noodles. Our server, Evan, was extremely prompt and professional. The entire atmosphere was amazing and we loved watching the sunset from our seats.
Getting married at The Waverly Restaurant & Bar
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
