A Highly Recommended, Polished Stay in Long Beach The Westin Long Beach is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the area, whether you are traveling for business, a weekend getaway, or attending an event nearby.
Convenient location. The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel, unfortunately, reminded me of some of the properties in Vegas. Meaning it could happen use some TLC and a bit dated. Overall a good experience but Westin is able to charge a premium and the value was slightly under par for the cost.
Great location near the convention center and Shoreline Village. Good fitness center as well. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable and I love the comforter on the bed that is a signature of Westin hotels compared to thin top sheets at other hotels.
Getting married at The Westin Long Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
