From the reviews
Very beautiful scenery. We missed the sun rise because we didn't know the gate was closed and we had to walk 15 to 20 minutes from the parking lot near the road. If you plan to see sun rise or sun set here, add at least 15 minutes to your plan. The parking is free and big enough for about 10 cars.
Wedding Review: Valhalla is not only gorgeous, but the owner and staff are wonderful to work with and very accommodating through the entire process. Michelle is very easy to reach, will give you a tour of the venue any chance she can, and worked with us through COVID postponing and helped ease our stress.
Gorgeous venue with great staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. It was an amazing location for a wedding and the ceremony room converted very nicely into the dance hall. Not too big or too small, very perfect space for dancing. The views by the lake are of course fantastic.
No regrets and cherished memories! My husband and I fell in love with Valhalla over the internet but seeing it in person really sealed the deal. It has everything I imagined as a bride in terms of beauty but also flexibility, support and finances (all of which are very important when planning a wedding!
Getting married at Valhalla Tahoe
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
