I had my wedding reception here in 2012. It was some great memories and the weather was perfect. Had our first dance here as well!
This is such a beautiful place to park. We were driving and around 10p decided that we needed to take a break for the evening. We pulled off and stayed at this park for the evening. Wow! It is quite a stunning location. There is a beautiful pier that has dim lights and benches to sit and listen to the water.
Probably the best public beach in the UP! The bay is very protected so the water temperature gets very warm during the summer relative to the rest of Lake Michigan and even on windy days the waves don't get very big which is great for the kids having a safe place to swim!
Visited here first time even though in the off season it still is a must see. Beautiful scenery of the lighthouse and pier. Got to see many ice fishing out on the lake. My husband and I hope many enjoy the snow woman we built out on the lake.
