Finding ourselves in Cape Cod with an unexpected need for a room last minute really created some stress for us! After trying numerous hotels, we finally connected with Doug from Winstead! Doug was so friendly and professional and went above and beyond accommodating our needs and exceeding our expectations!
We have stayed at the Winstead Beach Resort for 5 years now and find the accommodations to be very comfortable, the staff friendly and the continental breakfasts more extensive than most. The views of the sound from the wrap-around porch are spectacular.
Adam, the resident representative, made our stay absolutely a treat! He is so tuned into customer service and satisfaction that we could not expect more if we tried. The facility, common area as well as room, is very clean and inviting.
A truly fabulous gem of a find, the Inn Beach Resort! Excellent and helpful staff, laid back atmosphere at this wonderful beach front Inn. Lovely beach, porch and decks on the shores of Harwich Port Nantucket Sound. Walk to many nearby restaurants. We love this place. It's obvious the owners do too and it shows!
Getting married at Winstead Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
