We would get married here over and over again if we could! Our wedding day was a DREAM! And I cannot tell you how many people commented on how wonderful everything was, the food, decor, venue & staff everything was nothing short of extraordinary!
Drove up from Florida for a wedding at the Bar Harbor Club. Pool House cocktail party was spectacular with the sunset. Garden wedding, patio reception and ballroom dinner were the best. Also enjoyed an afternoon schooner sail in the bay as part of the wedding activities.
We attended a conference here. Excellent food and large comfortable space for lectures. Grand old lodge feel with lots of wood and history. Pretty gardens out back. Short walk to pool house and views of water. Parking was small but free with the conference.
Nice place! Really close access to the natural land bridge that will take you to Bar Island at low tide. Great location in general.
Getting married at Bar Harbor Club
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
