We stayed here for three nights and we were so impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hot apple cider greeted us each evening when we got back (it was getting cold outside). There is a pantry on each floor with coffee, tea and water as well as some Kind Bars and fruit. The rooms had a great view of the harbor.
Super nice hotel with spacious rooms and appears to be newly renovated with quality and luxury. The harbor views are incredible. The location can't be beat; everything is steps away. The staff is very helpful and eager to assist. On premises parking is included - very important in Bar Harbor.

My husband and I visited Bar Harbor for our anniversary and West Street Hotel was the perfect little escape. It’s beautifully located, right across the street from the harbor and within walking distance to a ton of shops, restaurants, parks, and attractions.
Getting married at West Street Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
