Our oldest daughter recently had her wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn. Briana, Juliet, and Hunter were absolute perfection. They took such great care of us. The venue and weather were amazing. The Bar Harbor Inn was wonderful - perfect venue for the wedding and breath taking views. Thanks for such great memories!
We had been staying at a different location about 40 minutes away from bar harbor and when we went biking we were looking for a good place to shower before going fishing. We had called several places before calling the bar harbor inn not knowing anything about either one of them.
A beautiful and classic property with incredible waterfront views. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff was attentive and the overall experience felt very complete.
We had a great experience at BHI — the rooms have an old-school luxury feel to them, and the service was great. Great dining options and the view from the pool is immaculate! Awesome location right in town and minutes from Acadia.
Getting married at Bar Harbor Inn & Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
