We just loved this place! Stayed at Homestead. Just really enjoyed ourselves and attended a beautiful wedding! Tons of activities, boating, fishing, golfing, wellness classes, pool, fresh sushi, awesome breakfast bar. The resort needs repairs and updates. I mean, it's old and historical but then there's run down.
Awesome! This place is great just came back from a wedding at Basin Harbor fantastic!! Great lake and activities to do, just forget about your cell phone because you'll have no signal lol but they have wifi.
Beautiful property! We were here for a day-long work retreat and it was perfect. The facilities are nice, food is good and the staff were extremely professional!
Did my parents 40th anniversary party here. Could not have gone better. Everyone was amazing!!!! Took a cocktail hour cruise on the EScape and had a wonderful meal in the garden room for a group of 30 and everything was flawless.
Getting married at Basin Harbor Main Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
