I enjoyed myself. I regret having to leave early for a family issue. The owners are very nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are dated. But for the money and location it is a bargain!!!!!! If you are 5 star or high 4 star person I suggest you move oN! The owners are very generous with pets!
My family and I had a great stay at Blue Horizon. I mean, how many places allow you to bring your dog up north??? Our pooch had a blast running around on the beach and swimming in Lake Huron. Awesome customer service from Angie. Cottages were clean and cozy - definitely rustic but that's the way it should be.
I highly recommend staying here. If you’re looking to relax and unwind this is the place to go! Big nicely comb sand beach, pets are welcome and the owners are very personal. Angela one of the owners places fresh flowers in the cabins which was nice cause it showed she cared about her resort.
Quaint & Comfortable. Prices are very fair! Had to find a place on a short notice and Angela had 1 cabin left. She was very accommodating and friendly. We fell in love with this place!! The beach was being groomed when we got there, they have a small putt-putt, and game.room.
Getting married at Blue Horizon Court
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
