This review is long overdue; I mistakenly thought I had already posted one! My husband and I were married here last June, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel and its manager, Tom. From our very first conversation, Tom was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and resourceful.
The staff was exceptionally helpful, considerate and thoughtful. We have stayed there every year for the past six and we love the place. Last Summer we asked if we could get married on their beach and we started to think about the possibility of a July 2020 wedding.
Stayed with By theSea Guests in the Yellowtail house and had the best time. The house was spacious, clean, and in a great location. It looked like a few updates were done like new carpet and AC. It was very quiet, comfortable, and a great place to relax.
We had an amazing stay! This cute B&B was so cozy and worth every penny! Very clean and so relaxing! The owners were so nice and accommodating I felt like I was staying with friends. The beach was very kept and the weather was perfect.
Getting married at By The Sea Guests
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
