My wife and I had our wedding and reception there in 2013. It was amazing - staff and catering were wicked awesome. Will also mention they are very gay-friendly, which made the experience so much more comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone getting married!
We decided to have our wedding at The Sea View and it was the best decision of our lives. For starters, the location of the venue is amazing and so close to the ocean. The venue itself has an incredible view and is beautiful on the inside as well.
We had our wedding reception here and we were very happy. Gail is super easy to work with and the attention to detail is impeccable. On our wedding day we had nothing to worry about but just to enjoy the day.
We got married at the Sea View on September and it was the most beautiful day of our life ever! Planning a destination wedding is not easy as we live in SC and half of our guests were out of towners. But Gail made every step in the wedding planning so smooth with continuous communication and excellent preparation.
Getting married at The Sea View
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
