The Harbor View Hotel is truly one of the iconic landmarks of Edgartown Harbor on Martha’s Vineyard. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with sweeping views of the harbor and the Edgartown Lighthouse just steps away.
Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown is one of those places that just feels right. Classic Martha’s Vineyard charm, beautiful harbor views and a front porch that somehow looks good in every light. It’s timeless without feeling stuffy and honestly one of my favorite spots for weddings and events on the island.
Excellent hotel! Room was very nice, location is fantastic and food was delicious. The view of the water and lighthouse from the porch is very relaxing. The staff should be commended for their excellent service we greatly appreciated them. All in all a great experience. We plan to come back. Thank you
Getting married at Harbor View Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
