Second summer staying at CBI. The resort is beautiful, the grounds stunning, the staff and service top notch. Food is excellent. Rooms are a bit dated and worn in parts, but has a rustic/coastal elegance. The things I don’t like: 1) Lots of kids. Kids at the pool, kids at the bars at sunset.
The grounds are lovely, especially at night with all the Christmas lights. The cottage room is nice… There was a minor issue with the toilet continuously running but someone was sent to fix it, the gentleman was very very nice and he was in and out and fixed it!
Incredible service all year round. I feel like a Queen when I’m there ! Best Hot Tot-ties in town with an exceptional view! The restaurant has the most incredible locally sourced vegetables my husband even ate them! It will be a family favorite!
Getting married at Chatham Bars Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
