My husband and I got married at Nubble Light 25 years ago and we stayed at the Dockside Guest Quarters. We returned this year to celebrate our Anniversary and it was wonderful. The area is quiet and pretty, right on the water.
A very special, relaxing and beautiful location in Southern Maine tucked in on a typical Maine tidal cove and beautiful harbor. Very close to a number of beaches in town and neighboring towns. Staff was very helpful, restaurant was very good overlooking the harbor. Rooms are comfortable and most have water views.
We had a wonderful two night stay here for our wedding anniversary this year. The rooms were clean and modern, the grounds were absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, and the restaurant on site was amazing. We will definitely be back.
What a fabulous place to stay. Everything was so nice... the staff, the accommodations, the breakfasts, the view. I would highly recommend Dockside for a peaceful, relaxing vaca.
Getting married at Dockside Guest Quarters
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
