From the reviews
My family and I stayed here last summer. Mixed feelings about the overall experience, but I'm turning a 4.5 into a 5 star rating because if you do your research you will eliminate our only concerns. Lets get that out of the way....location. No restaurant within the hotel.
The location and amenities make the stay so much more convenient. It’s ocean front with beach tags, chairs, and towels included in the stay. The shuttle service makes getting around Cape May so convenient. The staff is really nice and helpful too.
Not sure why google gives this place a two star rating. I would say it’s a three star hotel. The rooms are nice and updated. Bathrooms are nice and overall location is decent (right across from the beach) staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable stay. We were with family and had a few different rooms. All were nice!
I'm a little late posting this review; I stayed at ICONA in Cape May in November, 2025 and had such an amazing experience. Gorgeous stay. The hotel and rooms are exquisite, and beach is within view! I did not want to leave.
Getting married at ICONA Cape May
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
