From the reviews
Nov 1, 2025 sunny 65 degree’s, this hotel is located on the ocean! All rooms look and feel the ocean! What an experience at a great price. Two restaurants on site, restaurant across the street. We are so impressed! The staff are the best! We will return… I’m hoping we stay a few weeks at this location….
We stayed her for New Years Eve for several years in a row. One year we got snowed in at sea level which was extremely odd. Great remote place to disconnect and relax as you take in the breath taking view. The hotel is right on the cliffs over looking the ocean and is simply magnificent!
My husband and I spent a few nights here. It is clean, comfortable, and has the most gorgeous views!! A bistro/bakery and pizza place on site. (Very good food!). And the staff was very accommodating! We were able to take a short walk down to see the seals. AMAZING!! We will definitely be back!
Absolutely adored the stay here. I was very pleased with our spacious room and it had a gorgeous view - just what we wanted. To be honest, I was a little worried at first but couldn’t have been more happy about it.
Getting married at Inn of the Lost Coast
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
