Breathtaking views from our private balcony...but I would not categorize this property as luxury. We stayed this week in the Queen Suite. The oversized wardrobe is completely locked so there is no place to store any of your belongings (I tried to awkwardly pile all my belongings on one of the small chairs), also there…
This remote Castle Inn has amazing ocean views and is located within a few minutes walking distance from the Little Black Sands Beach. I recommend having a car since the General Store and restaurants are located a bit far away.
Very comfortable, spacious, cozy and unique studio style room. Beautiful, convenient location, water views, short walks to a few restaurants and the beach. Dianna was a great host; very helpful and knowledgeable.
We recently stayed at this Inn for a long weekend and it was an unforgettable experience! The Knight Suite felt like a studio apartment and even had a number keypad lock, so no misplacing your room key card. The view from the balcony is amazing and we even had deer walk right past ours in the early morning.
Getting married at The Castle Inn of the Lost Coast
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
