From the reviews
My family and I recently dined at the Skywalk Restaurant, situated on the rooftop. Our visit coincided with the sunset hour, and I must commend the truly spectacular view. This experience is highly recommended for all visitors to Lani Kai.
I like this old school beach front hotel, on a beautiful wide section of Ft Meyers Beach. Just don't get a room with a connecting door...there is no real soundproofing between the doors, and you can hear everything in the adjacent room.
Lani Kai Beachfront Resort is a lively and fun spot right on Fort Myers Beach, perfect for those who enjoy an energetic beach atmosphere. The location is unbeatable, with stunning ocean views and easy beach access just steps away.
We did not stay at the resort, so I can't speak on their quality. We were at the resort right at sunset and the view is absolutely stunning. If I were to stay, I'd pay the upcharge for the Gulf view. We stopped in at the bar to get a drink before moving on to our next stop.
Getting married at Lani Kai Island Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
