We stayed in our RV over night and it was not bad. Yes it's like many other Alaska RV camping places where your in a large parking lot. Maybe as they renovate they'll add trees between the spaces. The price isn't bad and you get a good amount of space.
Highly recommend. Silver Derby has become our go-to spot when staying in the Seward area. The campground is clean and well maintained. The manager remembers us year after year and stops to chat. The close beach access is also nice for evening walks with the dogs.
My family and I visited on April 21, 2024. We went inside for lunch and the food and the staff was amazing. We ended up staying in our RV at one of their beach side spots and the view was magnificent. Due to the time of year a lot of potable water is hard to find and they let us fill up our tank.
We stayed in Uncle Steve's cabin. The cabin is adorable, with amazing views. The cabin is very clean and has a well stocked kitchen. Checking in and out was super easy. We loved the wood burning stove, it warmed up the cabin very nicely. We will definitely be coming back.
Getting married at Millers Landing North Campground & RV Park
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
