From the reviews
We had our wedding here and couldn't picture having it anywhere else. Outer dunes is more than a great brewery owned by husband and wife. It's got the feeling of home. A place with fantastic beer, incredible atmosphere, and Wilmington's most welcoming bartenders. Definitely have an event here with your crew.
When my husband and I were picking out a venue for our wedding we had a certain “vibe” in mind. Our vision was a casual day at the brewery with everyone getting something from the local food truck. This location was big enough to accommodate our 100 guests comfortably and there was plenty of parking space.
Outer Dunes Brewery has that vibe, the kind that instantly makes you want to stay awhile. The back patio is my favorite spot, shaded by these massive old live oaks. The perfect escape from the daily hustle. English pub on the inside, The porch? Straight-up serene.
I recently worked with Outer Dunes Brewing Company to host my sorority’s family weekend cocktail event, and I truly can’t say enough great things about the experience! From start to finish, their team was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with.
Getting married at Outer Dunes Brewing Company
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
