From the reviews
The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two.
Absolutely gorgeous panoramic views of prospect park. Walk onto the bridge over the lake in order to get the best views and photos of the prospect park boathouse. They also do events and rent out the space if you have the money.
Loved having the opportunity to photograph an incredible wedding editorial at the Prospect Park Boathouse. The venue has amazing natural light and beautiful architecture. The best part of all is it's location right against the lake. Couldn't recommend more!
As a local Brooklyn resident, I have had the pleasure of visiting the Prospect Park Boathouse and Audubon Center on numerous occasions. I can confidently say that this is one of my favorite spots in the park and it never fails to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Getting married at Prospect Park Boathouse
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
