From the reviews
The New Bern Riverfront Convention Center is the perfect space for any event, especially a wedding. The staff provided top notch service and were a pleasure to work with. There’s many options on where to hold your event. The newly renovated portion with the head-to-toe glass window is stunning.
A lovely, modern building. There are lots of windows along the back, which allows in lots of light and gives a view of the river. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. He hallways are spacious. The crowds at the model train exhibition moved along nicely through the rooms.
Wonderful location. Very nice setup in the large meeting room. Plus the additional rooms that we used. We could do lunch with caterer which works really well and plenty of round dining tables to sit at and visit with people.
Very nice small convention center right on the waterfront. New remodel, modern, bright, clean, well staffed with good food and drinks!
Getting married at Riverfront Convention Center of Craven County
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
