From the reviews
We had our 80 person wedding reception at Saltwater Grille this past weekend and it was an absolute blast. Amy made the planning process so easy and we were extremely impressed by how communicative and organized she was.
Amazing. We walked in and the bar alone, made me gasp lol it's a beautiful spot, right on the water. The nighttime view of the skyline was wonderful to look at while enjoying the meal. Ordered the calamari and 9 oysters, all delicious.
Saltwater Grille in South Portland is a true gem! The waterfront views overlooking Portland are unmatched, making it a perfect spot for any occasion. Our occasion was a birthday❤️. Be sure to book a reservation in advance. Our server, Emma, was outstanding—incredibly attentive and professional throughout our meal.
The views were absolutely beautiful, and everything we ordered was delicious! The oysters were so fresh, and the stuffed lobster was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My daughter had the chicken fingers, and they were surprisingly good too! The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
Getting married at Saltwater Grille
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
