Absolutely wonderful. Staff was amazing and accommodating. Rooms were clean and the jacuzzi tub was great. Views on the beach were amazing as well. We had our wedding here and I couldn't have asked for a better place to be for the best day of my life. Thank you for everything.
This was our second year here and again it was nothing less than perfect! We called and reserved with the owner Karen. They remembered us from last year and helped us get a room that fit our needs. We had the pleasure of meeting Deanna and she was so kind and accommodating.
Sand Bay is a great place to get from the cities and it is a quiet and private place. I love that they have a private beach there. So it's not crowded like a pool would be. I love that the owner is a fisherman's guide. So u get a discount on the room if u bring your own boat.
A beautiful private beach with the waterfront rooms, worth the view. Kitchen in the suite was very clean and convenient. Even had a game room, a little dated but nice addition. A little nook library and board games on second floor. And we can't leave out our favorite staff person, Deana...
Getting married at Sand Bay Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
