This place was the best of two worlds. Lake Michigan shore probably 50 yards away and wooded fireplace area literally just out the door of the cabin. There are 5-6 other cabins, but they still feel very private. The cabin itself was clean and inviting.
I was looking for a quiet place for my wife and I to get away. Something outside the hustle and bustle of our daily routine. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything was set up. The location was perfect! Far enough away to enjoy the quietness but a quick drive to amenities (I forgot to bring a few things lol).
My family and I have stayed here 3 times so far and have another visit planned in May. We absolutely love it up here. The Cabins are always clean, comfortable and cozy. Everything you need is supplied. Even wine glasses! In the one cottage they even have a downstairs climbing area for the kids! My grandkids loved that!
The house is fantastic and extremely clean. Bohemian Wonderland has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, which made it perfect for our stay and gave everyone plenty of space. You can tell they really think about the guest experience. They had everything ready...
Getting married at Scenic Drive Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
