Loved working at the Sundial Resort for a wedding this past Saturday, and it was such a wonderful experience. As my couple’s wedding planner, I truly appreciated how collaborative, responsive, and supportive the team was throughout the entire process.
The location is fantastic. The entire area is very well-maintained and clean. The pool is heated, and the pool bar makes great cocktails. Unfortunately, the room smelled a bit musty, and we had to air it out frequently. These are apartments managed by the lobby, not a hotel!
Had a nice stay here but I booked a 1 bedroom and was put in a studio style room with a partial ocean view, asked to have the manager call me but they never returned my call? The pool is nicely heated with a little water slide for the kids. Staff here very friendly! Free umbrellas and chairs, bicycles too
Getting married at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
