From the reviews
Wow. We stayed in #16, Elysium, for two nights in early August. First off, this is a gorgeous property inside. The street view isn't much, frankly, but get inside, and it's amazing. The attached picture was literally the view from our porch one morning.
Stayed for 1 night but we wish we would've been able to book a longer stay. It's a great midway location if you're planning a trip through the Redwoods and has a very cute and clean sauna. We didn't get to use the tubs but they looked well maintained and private.
My sister and I came to Arcata for a girls weekend and picked the best place possible. We stayed in the Cabin and couldn’t believe how every little detail was so perfect.
All I've done so far is check into my room, and it's getting an immediate 5 stars. A bit of a splurge for my budget, but just dropping my luggage off I can already see this place is worth every penny. Honestly, it's a bargain. The grounds are just incredible, and I love how tucked away it is from the outside world.
Getting married at The Front Porch Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
