This review is slightly overdue—not because it lacked importance, but because I wanted to be sure to fully recognize the outstanding team at the Inn on Pamlico Sound.
If there were more than 5 stars, they would get it!! My husband and I got married at the Inn in 2022 and have come back to visit many times! We love their top tier service, hospitality, restaurant, incredible managers and staffing, sound side location, and warm vibes! You arrive as a guest but are treated as family!
We had our wedding weekend at the Inn this past weekend. Meredith and the team were helpful and responsive for the entire planning process. The Inn is kept clean and comfortable with amazing views of the sound. Breakfast and dinner at Cafe Pamlico were delicious. All staff - front desk, bar, restaurant were great!
Fantastic experience for my husband and I- this adorable B&B is a wonderful romantic spot for a quiet weekend. The grounds are lovely, food is incredible, the service very attentive. We highly recommend and will be back at least twice yearly.
Getting married at The Inn on Pamlico Sound
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
