⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable experience at Lake Chalet! This was our first time visiting Lake Chalet Seafood & Grill, and everything about the experience was top-tier!
Only for the catering in our event. We opted for chicken and others had the salmon, beef. The chicken was a bit dry but still tasty. The shared veggies was a pleasant change to individual. The venue was nice overlooking Lake Merritt. Overall a great experience at the 100 person event.
Great looking place with wonderful service and nice views. Event food itself was average, like wedding food. I'm sure the individual meals are much better. Cocktails were made perfectly!
Food is very good overall. Very nice part of Oakland, nice setting by the water,, inside or outside dining. Had to ask a couple of times for drink refills and other. Overall, a good place to dine in Oakland.
Getting married at The Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
