What couples highlight
“If a beautiful space isn’t enough, I also had the honor of chatting with the owner for a bit and get a tour of the property.”
From the reviews
We attended a wedding here in September and the space was absolutely gorgeous and well equipped for the wedding. It’s centrally located in Alexandria and super close to king street (but not too close). We had a great time.
OMGASh I wish if I can give the venue and management team 100 out of 100 I would, My bff had a small Ethiopian wedding there and I was like the event corridenter (Rahel) for the event.
I had the honor of working at The Rectory on Princess street as a photographer to a sweet couple and the space just blew me away. The atmosphere was serene and intimate, the garden is secluded and creates the perfect nest for ceremonies and the “getting ready” room was so charming.
We had such a wonderful experience working with the Rectory for our small wedding! From start to finish, everything was smooth, stress-free, and handled with care. The team was professional, kind, and incredibly accommodating.
Getting married at The Rectory on Princess Street
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
