From the reviews
The Tilghman Island Inn is the perfect combination of luxury and down-home hospitality. The rooms and amenities make you feel like you're staying in a high-end hotel, but the owner and staff make you feel like you're just staying with family - they are SO nice, welcoming, and accommodating.
We loved our stay here! Sherri truly went above and beyond for us in customer service, though all the other people working there were so friendly and kind too. And the view out back was spectacular, especially that sunset! Our toddler loved to watch all the boats go by. It’s a very peaceful and comfortable spot.
Pros: clean room, beautiful views, great location, the limited staff that checked us in was good Cons: restaurant and bar permanently closed (be nice to advertise), hard to find anyone that works there, hard to find a good meal in the area unless to drive to St. Michaels. For $400+ a night expected more service
Location is stunning! The restaurant serves great food and the hospitality is warm and lovely. We rented the on-site bikes and enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the back lawn watching the boats go by.
Getting married at The Tilghman Island Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
